Bob and Fifi are our pet girl rabbits (born in August 2015)
They stay at the setting during the week and the manager takes them home at the weekend.
The older children love to help care for our little four legged furry family members.
There are numerous benefits to keeping pets in terms of child development – pets facilitate a sense of responsibility and help build self-confidence. A child’s social, emotional and cognitive development can all be encouraged by interaction with a pet.
The older children take part in feeding and caring for our very friendly bunnies whilst learning the importance of their own self-care routines such as washing their hands after handling and petting and the reasons behind why we do this.
